Charity Car Boot Sale!

We will once again be doing a charity car boot to raise funds for the wonderful Bristol DAWG Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue!

Over the weekend we will be collecting up items from anyone who wishes to donate. If you have any old clothes, DVDs, books, home items or just anything you think may raise a few pennies for DAWG then email: megan@platinumpetcare.co.uk and we will put you on our collection route :)

Some of the Platinum Petcare team attended Trevor Coopers Dog Law Seminar at the Bath Cats & Dogs Home on Saturday. He is a very entertaining speaker and extremely knowledgeable on all things relating to Dogs and the Law. The introduction of the new Anti Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Bill will see tougher penalties for those with dangerous dogs, but it seems to fall short on trying to solve the problem of irresponsible dog owners.

The huge importance of having third party liability insurance for your dog was also highlighted. Even if you feel you don't need Pet Health Insurance, it is without doubt worth taking out 3rd party, especially with the tougher laws that are coming into force. Dogs Trust offer free third party liability if you become a member. It costs £25 per year and can be found here: Dogs Trust Membership

Big thank you to Bath Cats & Dogs Home for hosting Trevor. We really learnt a lot about the law as it stands, the proposed changes and also the further changes that need to be made, especially when it comes to Breed Specific Legislation!
